In praise of croissants...

In praise of croissants...

Hard to believe we have been in Paris for 10 days already. After the tres magnifique lunch at Le Bristol on the Day of Significance, we started the following morning with an almond croissant taste-off. The one on the left is from the closest boulangerie to our apartment, whose name escapes me, and the one on the right is from Au Levain d'Antan which is literally spitting distance across the road.

The one on the left loses points for being in a plain brown wrapper, and also for being 2 euro compared to 1.70. It also didn't taste as good.

So the croissant aux amandes from Au Levain d'Antan was the winner on the day. And there are many more days. So I shall be tasting many more crossiants aux amandes.

They say French Women Don't Get Fat but I have a nasty feeling that the same cannot be said of Women From Other Countries Holidaying In France.

  • I think everything said was actually very reasonable. However, consider this, what if you composed a catchier post title? I ain't saying your content isn't solid, however suppose you added a post title to possibly grab folk's attention? I mean In praise of croissants... - Sarah-Kate New Zealand Writer > My Blog is a little plain. You might look at Yahoo's home page and watch how they create news headlines to get people to open the links. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to get people excited about everything've got to say. Just my opinion, it might bring your posts a little livelier.

  • He's also fairly happy to shill for garcinia cambogia, which he calls the latest, quickest fat-buster” Never mind that no studies have shown a weight loss benefit of taking it after 12 weeks, and several studies have demonstrated no such benefit whatsoever.
