I can't believe it's a month since my last post. I feel like I just did it yesterday! How the heck people get to spend time Facebooking and Twittering I don't know. I can't even update my own website once a week and it's not like I'm sitting around doing nothing. I'm flat tack. Although I do manage to catch a bit of Oprah sometimes when I'm having my lunch. This week she interviewed the supermodel Naomi Campbell. Yikes! Naomi had a major meltdown when pressed about why she throws sharp objects at people and thinks she will get away with it. She seemed to me a tads malfunctioning on the emotional front but at 40 she is as drop dead gorgeous as she ever was. I'm curious to know if that shiny black hair is a wig though. If it is, I'm going to get one. I've always wanted that sort of hair.
I'm currently on the ferry between New Zealand's north and south islands. Normally we live at Muriwai Beach which is north west of Auckland near the top of the north island but for the last couple of months we have been in Wellington which is at the bottom of the north island for Mark's work (not The Hobbit). However, for the next week we will be in Nelson in the south island, then I come back for a week and am off to Sydney to meet my new Australian publishers, then I jump islands, big time, for a week in Fiji with my Queenstown book club girlfriends.
Someone asked me where I lived the other day and I opened my mouth but nothing came out. I just couldn't remember.
Life is certainly never dull, wherever it is...
